After earning a Civil Engineering degree from Ohio State, I headed west to work with Fluor in Project Controls and the Department of Energy Nuclear Fuels projects. The ridged formal government reporting supplied a fundamental project controls knowledge. I worked in land development and infrastructure for 5 years managing bond districts. Then many years with AECOM working in Project Controls for Caltrans, Cities, Port of LA, LA Metro, etc. I gained experience on very large programs tracking schedule, cost and resource analysis. Advance applications in excel, Primavera and CPM analysis was developed as an area of expertise. Subsequently, I worked for an Oracle Primavera P6 Partner as an implementation consultant. I provided over 150 trainings sessions on P6-EPPM and I developed a class for contractors on preparing time impact analysis. In addition, I was hands-on with many firms to implement P6 in their organization. Most notably, I spend 5 years at PG&E in their offices in developing an extensive enterprise environment with over 200 users updating over 1500 projects. Most recently, I have work for NV5, a nationwide engineering firm on a variety of projects in many sectors. In this work, I developed project management dashboards that interact with schedule and accounting databases to provide an interactive status of projects.
